The museum needed a way for visitors to get a self-paced guided experience of both showcase pieces and special exhibits — one that didn’t require third-party services and could be easily managed and updated in-house.

Museum tours were historically declining. The museum introduced audio guides, but they were limited to special exhibits and too rigid — visitors weren’t getting maximum value from the collection. We conducted user research through interviews with the museum’s target audience and past visitors to understand their frustrations, needs, and requirements. From the research, we created a self guided audio tour for pieces fully customizable to the user
